About
Hi, I am Debbie Waters, and I live in rural Worcestershire with my husband and our three English Pointers. First and foremost our dogs are adored family pets, but we have also had success in the show ring, including a 3rd and 1st at Crufts in 2009 in Junior Dog and Junior Bitch respectively. Last year I bred my first litter, and a year on am now just starting to have fun on the agility course with one of the puppies that we kept.
My first exposure to Canine Massage was back in the winter of 2008 when one of my own dogs was suffering with intermittent lameness. I booked an appointment with Natalie Lenton director of the Canine Massage Therapy Centre at her clinic in Kidderminster, and the rest as they say is history. I was so impressed with the results, that I booked myself on one of Natalie’s workshops “A Beginners Guide to Canine Massage” which I attended the following March, and then the following year when the Canine Massage Therapy Centre commenced enrolment for their diploma I signed up and haven’t looked back.
It is my love of dogs that has inspired me to attain my diploma in Therapeutic Canine Massage, to enable me to pursue a career to make a difference, and improve the quality of life for as many dogs as I possibly can. So far I have achieved consistent and significant results on all of the dogs I have been lucky to work with, ranging from senior dogs who were struggling and are now enjoying a new lease of life, through to younger sporting dogs who compete in agility and have been rehabilitated through treatments with me.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is paramount, and key to delivering the best service possible to my clients. In order to further my knowledge, I have already attended a Canine Nutrition Seminar hosted by holistic vet Nick Thompson, and will be attending specialist CPD days in the future hosted by Natalie Lenton of the Canine Massage Therapy Centre.
